Without the support of our Club Sponsors, our work as a Cricket club to bring the sport to the town would be extremly difficult.

Howards Motor Group - sponsoring clevedon cricket club
As a locally-based independent company Howards Motor Group aims to support local good causes. It’s an integral part of the ethos behind the business and has been for more than 40 years. In its latest initiative Howards’ Citroen and Kia dealership in Weston-super-Mare is sponsoring Clevedon Cricket Club by providing the Club’s teams with kit. During this cricket season every member of each team will be wearing sports shirts adorned with the corporate logos of Howards Motor Group’s Citroen and Kia franchises.
Clevedon Cricket Club Chairman, Paul Jenkins comments: “We are delighted to receive the support of Howards Motor Group. The dealership’s sponsorship has enabled us to provide each team with smart kit which will be worn with pride. A strong partnership has already developed between Clevedon Cricket Club and Howards Motor Group’s Citroen and Kia dealerships, and this is intended to last at least three years and, we hope, for much longer going forward. Without the support of businesses such as this, we wouldn’t be able to commit to the many fixtures we have each season.”
Paul continues: “I’d like to thank Howards Motor Group for their generous sponsorship. It’s thanks to companies like this that we are able to run and develop our club, especially our junior section which continues to grow from strength to strength, something we feel that benefits the local community greatly.”
Howards Citroen and Kia are now involved with one of the best-known local clubs in the county. A great many now famous players have played for and participated in matches at Clevedon Cricket Club’s ground at Esmond Grove.
Clevedon Cricket Club Chairman Paul Jenkins said: “Our First Eleven team now play in the West of England Premier League. With our current training programme and the competitiveness of our teams let’s hope there’s every possibility that some of our junior players will go on to play professionally in the sport.”
Paul concludes: “Howards Motor Group’s involvement through sponsorship is very welcome indeed. It will be great to see our team members look their best during this summer.”
Clevedon Cricket Club has recently received a grant of £29,000 from the England and Wales Cricket Board. This sum will be added to money already raised for the installation of three new purpose-built training nets of test match standard at Esmond Grove. This will help the Club greatly during training sessions.
